Skateboard Ramp
The world of skateboarding can be divided by where the sport takes place. The punk leaning independent skaters who refuse to be corralled will go to the diverse areas of the concrete jungle and find the prime grind, jump, or Ollie location for their tricks to be caught on camera or just to enjoy it with their friends. There is another avenue to this form of occasional tesspassing and utilization of other’s resources. The form of skating involves contrived situations such as the skateboard ramp.
Skate parks are a great example of areas which have been customized in order to make them a haven for the blooming or full blown skateboarding. A simple feature that will be there in various incarnations is the skateboard ramp. Either freestanding or as part of a box or half pipe, the ramp creates an area in which you can Ollie and have space to attempt a trick for a few inches or feet where the free space enables you the time to attempt the most complex tricks. The gap between ramps is often referred to as bridging the gap, or jumping the gap and can be a perilous or potentially large gap depending on the situation. Generally, skate parks are minimally difficult, where the largest obstacles might be a multi-foot drop or perhaps a deep swimming pool sized skating area. In either event, the skate ramp is an easy way to try your trick and land on a flat surface, or perhaps another down facing ramp.
